How do I update and enable Java?
To download and install the latest version of Java, please click here. Once you have the latest version, please follow the below instructions to ensure Java is enabled.
Internet Explorer 8
1. Open the "Tools" menu and click "Internet Options"
2. Click the Security tab
3. Click the “Custom Level…" button4. Under the Settings heading, scroll down to "Scripting – Active Scripting" and ensure the "Enable" button is selected, then scroll down to "Scripting – Scripting of Java applets" and ensure the "Enable" button is selected
5. Click the "OK" button, then the "OK" button again to close the Internet Options box
6. Close all open Internet Explorer windows, then open Internet Explorer again
Firefox 3.6
1. Open the "Tools" menu and click "Options..."
2. Click on the Content tab and ensure the "Enable JavaScript" box is checked
3. Click the "OK" button to close the Options box
4. Close all open Firefox windows, then open Firefox again
Safari 4
1. Open the "Safari" menu (the gear symbol in the top-right of the window and click "Preferences..."
2. Click on the Security tab
3. Ensure the "Enable plug-ins", "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript" boxes are checked
4. Close the Preferences box
5. Close all open Safari windows, then open Safari again
Chrome 4
1. Open the "Google Chrome" menu (the wrench symbol in the top-right of the window) and click "Options"
2. On the Under the Bonnet tab, under the Privacy heading, click the "Content settings…" button
3. On the JavaScript tab, ensure the "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)" button is selected
4. Click the “Close” button
5. Click the "Close" button to close the Google Chrome Options box
5. Click the "Close" button to close the Google Chrome Options box
5. Close all open Google Chrome windows, then open Google Chrome again
