Hi, Guess what attribute I have that makes me irresistible to women? I like eating leftovers! If that doesn't work for you (how could it not?), maybe you'd better keep reading. I live mainly in my mind. While I am active physically, I think deeply, and ponder broadly on life's questions. While not well-qualified formally, (I have a technical diploma), I am a member of Mensa, which at least shows that I can solve puzzles! And the puzzle of how to meet the right woman online, is one that is taxing me right now! I am well-read in science and literature, and still read voraciously, most of which is non-fiction. At the same time I seldom take life too seriously, and do my best to see the lighter side of things. I am verbally acute and articulate. I like quizzes, and belong to a pub quiz group. If you are highly qualified and feel that I won't match you intellectually, I herewith cast the gauntlet! I am passionate and almost fiercely demonstrative. If I fall in love with you, your earlobe will be constantly shredded. I have been a software developer most of my working life, but I am now semi-retired, and running my house as a BnB. Which in this case means Bed, No Breakfast! I hardly cook for myself - why should I cook for anyone else? It is a large house, on a large property in an upmarket suburb. I am very handy, and enjoy building and fixing things. I am a bit of a gourmand, and by travelling in Europe I have been spoiled for life by French food and Scottish shortbread. I drink alcohol only occasionally, and don't use any other intoxicants. I appreciate art, LOVE music, enjoy theatre - but not song-and-dance shows. Jigsaw puzzles and party games. Cats. On the downside, I do suffer from minor depression, which I am convinced stems from my 5 years at a boys' boarding school (Michaelhouse). It is not debilitating, and I'm not on meds, but I do get struck by occasional bouts of sadness, more than anything else.
